Low memory "Auto clean" option works by triggering the "Quick" clean option automatically when the free memory hits 2% or below the available physical memory on your system. The "Auto clean" option has to be switched-on either from the preferences window or from the context-menu (displays a tick-mark against the menu item when enabled) to be in action.
